Sending Your Design to One Way Screen Printing
If your artwork is to big to email or if you want to talk it over as we see it, come on by and drop off your artwork. Most likely we can go over it with you on the spot.
Email
If the file is within email file size limitations you can email it to us at owsp@charter.net. Please include a detailed message about your job in the email.

If a file is too big for email, you can upload it to our iDisk by clicking HERE. Simply click on the “upload” button in the upper right of the window and guide the computer to your file. Also, please send an email alerting us to your file.
FILE TYPES
The type of file you send will be determined by the format that you create your design in.
For vector based designs you can save the design in an Illustrator file (.ai), an EPS file (.eps), or an Acrobat file (.pdf). Any of these file types will work fine, just make sure to convert the type to a vector outline.
For pixel based designs created in Photoshop, please send us the file with the text layers intact (as well as the accompanying font file).

HAND DRAWN ILLUSTRATIONS
Usually, hand drawn illustrations will require additional cleanup by our art department.
If you create a drawing and you want it to have different shades/tones this can be achieved through the half tone process described in Preparing your Design. If you have a pencil sketch that has different shades of grey, these will be created by a half tone.
If you are creating a design to be as solid and stark as possible (which is generally best for screen printing), you will want to draw it black ink. There should only be two tones in the finished design, absolute white and absolute black. If you prepare your drawing in this way it should not need any additional work from our art department.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN DESIGNING
Resolution
LINE QUALITY / LINE SIZE
Ink spreads, lines fill in!
Consider final size (print one out)
FONTS
When sending us your designs, fonts can be tricky. If we don’t have the font you are using in our collection, then we will need the actually font file in order to see/print the design correctly. For vector based designs this issue is easily solved by converting all the text into vector outlines.
If you have a specific font in mind, please send the font file along with the design, otherwise we will do our best to find the closest match possible.
As with anything to be screen printed, low resolution pixel based files are essentially unusable and will have to be re-typeset. Again, we consider 300 dpi (or higher) to be the standard. |
